Welcome to the airport and help Continue via Chilaw to Kandy. Munishwaram is thought to have existed before the Ramayana, and there was a temple here devoted to Lord Shiva. Munishwaram (Munnu + Easwaran) means the first temple dedicated to Shiva. When Lord Rama came here, there was already a Shiva Lingam. In one of King Ravana's Vimanas, Lord Rama and Sita departed for Ayodhya following their successful battle. Since he had killed King Ravana, a Brahmin, he felt as though a Bramhaasthi Dosham—a wicked dark shadow—was pursuing him. He became aware that the BrahmaastiDosham was not following him at this moment when he felt the Vimana vibrate as it passed over Munishwaram. At this point, he halted the Vimana and consulted the divine Lord Shiva. In addition to blessing Lord Rama, Lord Shiva suggested that the only way to remove the dosham was to install and pray at four lingams in India: Manavari, ThiruKoneshwaram, ThiruKetheshwaram, and Rameshwaram. About five kilometers away, close to the banks of the Deduru Oya, at Manavari, the first lingam was erected. The first lingam that Rama placed and prayed at the Manavari Temple in Chilaw is known as RamalingaShivan to this day. The only other lingam in the world bearing Lord Rama's name is Rameshwaram. In the evening, visit the shrine of the sacred tooth relic. Dinner and spending the night in Kandy.

Have your breakfast at the hotel and you can see the Sita Amman Temple on your way to the Hakgala Botanical Gardens. You will undoubtedly be drawn to the temple's imposing architecture. There are old statues of Rama and Sita on one side of the shrine. With its paintings, statues, and sculptured pillars, the temple of Divurumpola is a contemporary structure that tells the story of Rama and Sita. Sita conducted her Agni Pariksha to her husband Rama in this sacred sanctuary, which is still respected by lakhs of people. Villagers continue to swear allegiance or take oaths there, a custom that dates back thousands of years, and this agreement was legally enforceable in some courts. People have adored and revered this location throughout history. Ella, a little mountain village close to Bandarawela, is home to three Ramayana-related sites where, according to local belief, Ravana held Sita captive. The first is the Ravana Ella Cave, which is situated at the enormous Ella Falls, a magnificent waterfall that cascades into many falls and is 1080 feet high. Khondalite, a type of limestone that decays more quickly than granite or strong gneiss, is the waterfall's rocky underside. As a result, several caverns have developed close to the falls. One of the caves above the waterfall is reputed to have been the residence of King Ravana and it is reported that Sita bathed in a nearby pool that the rushing streams had dug out of the rock. Go to Gayathri Peedam at night. Overnight stay and dinner in Nuwara Eliya.
